Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR)

MPR reconstructs real-time coronal, sagittal, and axial views from a volumetric DICOM series (CT or MRI). All three planes are linked by a crosshair cursor to the same anatomical point.

Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR)

1
Load a Volumetric Series

Open a CT or MRI DICOM series with contiguous parallel slices. MPR requires at least 10 slices with consistent slice spacing.

2
Activate MPR

Click the MPR button in the toolbar. The viewport splits into three linked planes: Axial (top-left), Coronal (top-right), and Sagittal (bottom-left).

3
Navigate the Planes

Scroll each plane independently with the mouse wheel. The crosshair cursor synchronises all three planes to the same anatomical location.

4
Adjust WW/WC in MPR

WW/WC settings can be applied independently to each plane, or linked across all three via the sync toggle in the toolbar.
